AWE tips are meant to go with AWE exhausts. You spent good money on your premium AWE exhaust, and you don’t want your average Joe Camry out there with the same tips, sounding like stock, while you’re out there doing it right (But you can buy replacement tips if you want to change your look or if you get rear-ended (hope not)).
Tip Tonic, that’s how. Formulated to cut through the grime and give your tips a like-new finish, AWE’s Fantastic Tip Tonic cleans without the use of harsh abrasives, acids, or ammonia. Developed and tested over multiple Mid-Atlantic winters, Tip Tonic performs in rough conditions and shines in any climate. Tip Tonic is recommended for use on both Chrome Silver and Diamond Black AWE exhaust tips, and is encouraged to be used frequently to keep the shine at the front of the line. Please note: AWE’s Fantastic Tip Tonic is not safe to use on titanium or burnt tips, including AWE's Vapor Blue Tips.
They sure will. A few years ago, AWE transitioned most tips to “integrated clamps,” meaning there’s just a bolt that goes through the clamp, and the clamp is part of the tip (as opposed to a barrel clamp). The tip styles are interchangeable, and all give you the ability to stagger your AWE tips to your preference.
Since every exhaust is different, we recommend heading back to the product page of your exhaust and scrolling to the bottom, where you’ll see “installation instructions.” That said, we also made a universal instructions sheet that should help if you have our integrated clamp tips, that's here.
Tips purchased for non-AWE products can not be returned.
Avoid using:
- Acidic or alkaline cleaners
- Wheel cleaners or exhaust-specific cleaners that fall outside a neutral pH range
- Metal polishes or polishing compounds
- Abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or aggressive brushes
- Strong degreasers or chemical cleaners
For best results, allow the tips to cool completely before cleaning. Use a soft microfiber towel or non-abrasive wash mitt with pH-neutral automotive soap, then rinse thoroughly and dry with a clean microfiber towel.
Please note: Vapor Blue is a specialty finish and is not covered under warranty for damage caused by improper cleaning, chemicals, polishing, abrasion, or other products that may alter or remove the finish. When in doubt, keep it gentle. A little soap, water, and a soft microfiber are your best friends when caring for AWE's Vapor Blue tips!
