As exhaust gases exit the Coyote 5.0L engine and flow into an AWE 180 Technology®–equipped resonator, they pass through strategically located ports and into reflection chambers. Sound waves carried by these exhaust gases bounce off the chamber walls. By controlling the port size and chamber location, we dictate when those reflected waves rejoin the main flow—creating a 180-degree, out-of-phase wave that cancels problematic frequencies. Lifetime Exhaust Warranty

Summary

The AWE Lifetime Exhaust Warranty on select AWE exhaust products protects against manufacturer defects.  Manufacturer defect is defined as any characteristic of the product which hinders its usability for the purpose for which it was designed and manufactured. The warranty against manufacturer defects doesn’t cover any cosmetic changes, or normal use wear and tear. All warranties cease at a product’s discontinuance. This applies only to AWE brand exhaust tubing, welding, flex areas.

The AWE No CEL (Check Engine Light) Guarantee is noted on certain AWE products, and offers peace of mind against the appearance of Check Engine Lights when products are installed properly and used as intended, on vehicles with no additional modifications, with the exception of other AWE products intended to work with the product in question.

What is 180 Technology®?

AWE's patented 180 Technology® works a little something like this: As exhaust gases exit the engine and flow into an AWE 180 Technology®-equipped resonator, they pass through strategically located ports, and into reflection chambers.

Sound waves, carried by these exhaust gasses, bounce off the walls of the reflection chambers.  Depending on the sound requirements of each vehicle, AWE acoustic engineers adjust the size and location of the ports and the chambers.  By controlling the size and location of these key elements, we also control when the sound waves exit the chambers.  The specific timing of when the reflected sound waves re-join the main exhaust flow creates a one-hundred-and-eighty-degree out-of-phase sound wave that cancels out problematic frequencies.
